The Dominican Republic's tourism push came to Miami as two events sharing one room. One side was a cultural showcase with food, music and drinks; the other was an official press program with announcements, new partnerships and airline deals. The room had to carry both, and then turn over from press conference to party without a reset.
We built an underwater environment out of LED. A large backdrop anchored the center stage, and five matching LED towers extended the scene until the whole thing read as one canvas. In the middle of the towers, a round bar wrapped in flexible P1.9 tiles, 49.2 feet around, served drinks from inside the composition instead of in front of it, synchronized with everything else. A 3D whale swam in and out of the scene using depth-of-field blur so it looked like it was coming out of the screens. All of it sat on a mirror-finish floor that was deliberately wrinkled, so the reflections rippled like moving water. On the production side we supplied the live audio, mics, speakers, digital mixers, video switching and every connection in between.
People stopped mid-step and pulled their phones out, which is the honest measure of whether an LED environment landed. When the official program wrapped and the deals were signed, a DJ plugged into the same system and the room turned over from press event to dance floor without a gap.
