Pick the pixel pitch.
The whole ladder in one place, from 1.5 mm for close-up walls to 4.8 mm for big throws, plus flexible, mesh, and floor tiles. Most drop into standard 500 mm booth framing.
Finer pitch, closer audience.
Closer audience, finer pitch, and higher resolution and cost. "Comfortable from" is a guideline, not a limit: plenty of our clients view comfortably much closer than the chart says.
One ladder. Every wall.
From 1.5 mm selfie walls to 4.8 mm big throws, the same tiles drop into standard booth framing.
Tile questions, answered.
What pixel pitch do I need?
The closer the audience or camera, the finer the pitch, but finer also means a higher pixel count and a higher cost, so we match the pitch to how close people actually get. A few calls we make a lot: 2.6 mm for keynote and general-session stages, where the audience is usually 20 ft or more back and the walls are big, so going finer mostly just runs up the cost; 1.5 to 1.9 mm for selfie walls and close-up interactive where people are right on the screen; 3.9 mm for hanging signs and overhead seen from across the room, which also keeps the price down; and 4.8 mm for bright outdoor walls viewed from a distance.
How far away should people stand from the wall?
As a rule of thumb, the pixels blend into one solid image at roughly 10 feet for every 1 mm of pitch, so a 2.6 mm wall looks clean by about 26 ft and most people are comfortable at around half that. But that is a guideline, not a limit: in our experience a lot of clients are perfectly comfortable much closer, because event content is video, motion, and big graphics rather than fine print. We will recommend a pitch for your room and budget, and if you want people closer than the textbook distance, we will tell you honestly where the trade-off shows.
What size are the tiles?
Most are 500 × 500 mm and drop into standard 500 mm booth framing with a 90-degree corner lock. Mesh and floor tiles use their own formats. We confirm fit and the closest achievable wall size before the show.
Which tiles curve or flex?
P1.9 and P2.3 are flexible for curves and columns (P1.9 down to a 5 ft curve diameter). Several others are curvable. Mesh is for transparent, see-through walls.
Do you install the wall or do we?
Either. We send a tech, or your crew installs with our unpack, setup, and repack documentation. See LED wall install and crew.
