LED sphere rental: sizes, pitch, and mounting.

What a sphere is, how to size and mount one, and what to screen a rental on. A short guide before you commit, plus a look at our own two-size sphere.

What it is

A display that plays from every angle.

A sphere is a curved LED display that plays content the whole way around, readable from any seat in the room. It works as a booth centerpiece, a brand activation, or a stage feature, and it draws a crowd the way a flat wall does not.

How to choose

Five things to screen on.

  1. 01

    Size

A 5 ft sphere reads as a strong centerpiece in a booth; a 6.5 ft sphere commands a larger floor or atrium. Match it to the space and the sightlines.

  2. 02

    Pixel pitch

The 5 ft runs 1.8 mm and the 6.5 ft runs 2.0 mm. Finer pitch holds up closer; both are built to read from across a room.

  3. 03

    Mounting

Hoist-rigged for a floating centerpiece, or floor-mounted on a stand or custom box. The internal frame supports both.

  4. 04

    Content support

A sphere needs spherical mapping or the content tears at the seams. Confirm the rental tests your reel on the actual rig before show day.

  5. 05

    Crew

Rigging a sphere overhead is real rigging. Confirm who installs it and who runs it on show day.

Sphere FAQ

Sphere questions, answered.

What is an LED sphere?

A spherical LED display that plays content the whole way around, readable from any angle in the room. It works as a booth centerpiece, a brand activation, or a stage feature.

What sizes and pixel pitch are available?

Common rental sizes are around 5 ft (1.8 mm pitch) and 6.5 ft (2.0 mm pitch). Finer pitch reads better up close; both are built for room-scale viewing.

How is a sphere mounted?

Either hoist-rigged from a motorized chain hoist for a floating look, or floor-mounted on a stand or custom box. The internal frame supports both.

Who rents LED spheres?

Fewer companies than rent flat walls, because spheres need spherical content mapping and real rigging. Screen on content support and crew, not just the gear. We rent two sizes and crew the build.

Do I need special content?

Yes, content is mapped for the sphere so it does not tear at the seams. We test your reel on the actual rig before show day and guide the setup.
